[Important] Notice of Service Update for AOCS Members (Posted 2024.10.04)

– Service Update Details
1. Inclusion of Scheduled Delivery (2 per month) in Service Fees.
For customers using the merge cycle “Scheduled Delivery (2 per month)” in Toranoana online Store, a “200 yen (tax included) fee” per parcel will be applied.
Although AOCS was previously exempt from this fee, due to rising logistics costs within Japan, we have been notified that it will now be included.

Revision Date:
The revised fee will apply to merge shipments prepared from Sunday, October 20, 2024.
*For more details, please refer to Toranoana’s announcement.
*Please note that “merge shipments” here refers to the preparation of shipments on the Toranoana side. This is different from the AOCS merge function, so please be aware of the distinction.

2. Exclusion from Online Store Point Accrual.
AOCS has independently been offering a 5.5% point accrual. However, points were also being credited by Toranoana.
To prevent duplicate point accruals, we have been notified that, as part of a point system reform on Toranoana’s Online Store platform, the Online Store point accrual will be discontinued.

Revision Date:
The revisions will apply to orders placed from Thursday, October 10, 2024.

– Announcements from AOCS
①AOCS Recommends Using the “Instant Delivery” Service.
AOCS continues to offer free domestic shipping. Even if deliveries are split into multiple shipments, there will be no additional cost to you.
You can merge up to 10 orders into a single shipment, so we encourage you to use the “Instant Delivery” service.

②Please Check the “Default Order Settings” for Toranoana Online Store.
When using the “Instant Delivery” service, AOCS recommends the following order settings within Toranoana’s online store.
Please consider adjusting your settings.

Change Procedure for Online Store Default Order Settings
1. Select “My Page”.

2. Select “Order Settings”.

3. The Default Order Settings screen will open.
As shown in the image, check for “Instant Delivery” under Merge Delivery selection, “Self (本人)” under Delivery destination selection, and “AOCS” under Delivery method selection, then save the settings.

③Changing from Scheduled Delivery (2 per month) to Instant Delivery.
You can change your “Merge Cycle” from “Scheduled Delivery (2 per month)” to “Instant Delivery” using the steps below.
Please consider making this change.

Change Procedure from Scheduled Delivery (2 per month) to Instant Delivery
1. Select “My Page”.

2. Select “Purchase History”.

3. Display the Order Details screen (this screen will be in Japanese) selecting the “Check order slip” and change the “Merge Cycle (おまとめサイクル)” under “Delivery Options (配送オプション)” from the Scheduled Delivery (2 per month) (定期便(月2)) to “Instant Delivery (毎度便)”.

We have identified services for AOCS members that have not been operating as intended and will implement the following service updates on the specified dates.

◇Service Update Details

・Exclusion from Online Store Point Accrual
→ The 2% Online Store points previously granted on product purchase amounts will no longer be provided.

・Inclusion of Scheduled Delivery (2 per month) in Service Fees
→ A “200 yen (tax included) fee” per parcel will be applied for shipments under the Scheduled Delivery (2 per month).

■Revision Dates
・Exclusion from Online Store Point Accrual → Effective from orders placed on October 10, 2024
・Introduction of Scheduled Delivery (2 per month) Fee → Effective from the merge shipments on October 20, 2024

※Important Notes※
・Regarding Customer-Held Online Store Points
The Online Store points you currently hold will not expire.
Please use the point within its validity period.

・Regarding Scheduled Delivery (2 per month) Orders Placed Before the Amendment
Orders placed before the amendment are also subject to the fee.
The fee will be 200 yen from July 1, 2024, and 100 yen before that.
When orders with different fees are combined, the lowest fee will be applied.
